Neck Pain Osteopathy in Crowborough and Rotherfield

Neck pain and stiffness can make everyday activities difficult, including working at a desk, driving, sleeping, exercising or turning your head comfortably.

At TQ Osteopathy, Thomas Snook provides individual osteopathic assessment and care at his clinic in Rotherfield, near Crowborough, East Sussex. Whether your neck pain began recently or has been present for some time, an assessment can help explore the factors that may be contributing to your symptoms and discuss suitable options for managing them.

Neck pain is common and is rarely caused by a serious underlying condition. However, it is important to seek medical advice if symptoms are severe, persistent or accompanied by neurological changes.

What may contribute to back pain?

What may contribute to neck pain?

Neck pain can arise from several factors, and there may not be one single cause. Possible contributors include:

Muscle tension or soft-tissue irritation

Prolonged desk work, computer use or looking down at a phone

Poor sleep position or an unsupportive pillow

Repetitive movements or sustained postures

Joint stiffness and reduced movement

A previous injury, including whiplash-type injuries

Age-related changes in the cervical spine

A careful assessment helps identify what may be relevant to your symptoms and allows us to discuss a management plan suited to your needs.

How osteopathy may help

Depending on your individual circumstances, your care may include:

Advice on posture, movement and everyday activities

Gentle hands-on techniques where appropriate

Individualised mobility and strengthening exercises

Guidance on workstation setup, sleep position and activity modification
